Your health and safety is our top priority and we are doing everything we can to stop the spread of Covid by enforcing the Government and ECB guidelines, which were sent out to you again recently. However, following a number of positive cases we have decided to shutdown the club for a week.
All matches will go ahead as planned, however the changing rooms, showers and clubhouse will be closed so you are advised to come dressed ready to play. You will be able to access the toilets in the clubhouse but you must sanitise as you enter and leave and it is strictly one in one out. Please remember to keep your distance and continue to follow the guidelines during play.
All training is however cancelled between Wednesday 14th and Tuesday 20th July. The bar will also be closed during this time. When training does resume next week we are re-instating the maximum of 6 per lane in the nets. Remember no sharing of balls or equipment, no saliva on balls, etc.
Please remember if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms, please do NOT come to the club. If you have a positive test, please can you contact your captain/coach or a committee member to let them know.
We hope that by being extra careful and keeping contact to a minimum we can prevent more of our players and members from getting Covid and we encourage everyone to play their part.
Many thanks for your co-operation,
Anston CC Committee
Anston CC is a lively and welcoming cricket club, offering cricket for seniors, ladies and juniors of all levels of ability and experience. Founded in 1919, the club is proud of a long and successful history that spans more than 100 years. We embrace new members, players and spectators with something for everyone, from games through to social events. If you live in the area and like what the club has to offer, why not come down to the ground or email firstname.lastname@example.org
For those cricketers looking for competitive league cricket, Anston CC fields four senior teams on a Saturday. The 1st XI play in the Bassetlaw & District Cricket League in the Championship Division, most seasons we bolster this team with an overseas Pro, bringing experience and talent. In 2021 our 2nd XI will compete in the BDCL Division 2, the 3rd XI are in Division 4 and our 4th XI play in Division 6.
If Saturday league cricket isn’t your thing, or you simply can’t play on Saturdays, then Anston CC also fields two teams in the Mansfield & District Sunday League, playing local teams in the North Divisions 2 and 3.
Nurturing and developing talent is a high priority and we actively encourage our junior players who are eligible to play senior cricket to be part of all our teams, both Saturday and Sundays. Our ethic is to ensure the future players of our club are given the opportunity to bowl or bat in every game and are not just used as fielders.
Anston CC offers a wide range of cricketing opportunities for women and girls and we are working as a club to widen these further. This season, as well as maintaining the teams we have, we are focusing on establishing softball cricket at the club.
Enjoyment of the game is the main priority for our ladies, if we all enjoy playing cricket we will develop and win games along the way. We offer a style of cricket you’re sure to enjoy, no matter if you are only just starting out or if you are an experienced cricketer. Age also isn’t a factor, we have young girls (12+) in the team all the way through to players who would rather not mention their age (50+)!
Anston CC Ladies currently play in the Yorkshire Women & Girls Cricket League and we aim to have enter a Super 8’s team, T20 side and a team playing in Division 1 each season. Our league games are usually played on Sundays throughout the summer.
Training evenings are open to anyone to come along and join in the fun, for more information please contact email@example.com

At Anston we enjoy excellent facilities, both on and off the field. We have access to two cricket fields (Ryton Road and Greenlands Park), allowing two games to be played at the same time, and offer grass and artificial practice areas, as well as outdoor net facilities. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control (and their mess picked up!!).
Off the field, our club house has a well-stocked bar, friendly staff and is an excellent social space, which is ideal for any occasion, from parties to meetings. For more information on how to book our facilities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request. For any other enquiries, please email email@example.com
