Anston CC is a lively and welcoming cricket club, offering cricket for seniors, ladies and juniors of all levels of ability and experience. Founded in 1919, the club is proud of a long and successful history that spans more than 100 years. We embrace new members, players and spectators with something for everyone, from games through to social events.
If you live in the area and like what the club has to offer, why not come down to the ground or email contact@anstoncc.co.uk
For cricketers looking for competitive league cricket, Anston CC fields four senior teams on a Saturday and one a Sunday.
Anston CC offers a wide range of cricketing opportunities for women and girls and we are working as a club to widen these further. This season, as well as maintaining the teams we have, we are focusing on establishing softball cricket at the club.
Anston CC is committed to introducing cricket and hopefully creating a love for the sport into the lives of as many youngsters as possible.
All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they're guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development with the emphasis on fun!
Anston CC are proud to announce they have joined the local Pubwatch scheme.
The basic principle of Pubwatch is that its licensee members will agree to work together to improve the safety of their premises; for the benefit of their staff and customers. They will introduce initiatives to try and combat the criminal activity and anti-social behaviour that can often be associated, but not exclusively, with the misuse of alcohol or drugs.
Invariably therefore the work of a Pubwatch scheme will be to set standards of acceptable behaviour and act robustly against the small number of individuals who cause problems for the pub trade. This will often result in Pubwatch members agreeing to jointly ban problem individuals who are violent, damage property, use or deal drugs or act in an anti-social manner. The decision to ban an individual will have been taken in order to protect a business or the safety of staff and customers - it is not a punishment.
As a family orientated club, we felt that we did not want individuals that have been banned from other pubs in the area to drink in the Clubhouse. It is the commitment to work and stick together that is the strength of Pubwatch membership; not least because of the powerful message it sends to problem individuals and the wider public. There is no doubt that Pubwatch schemes can have a significant impact on crime and anti-social behaviour in and around licensed premises, which is what we as a Club fully support.
