A fantastic afternoon showcasing the opportunity for younger girls cricket.

Sunday 31 August saw Anston play host to lots of young girls playing in mixed softball teams - a fantastic day for the girls and their families. Girls came from Bradfield in Sheffield and Aston as well as many girls from Anston.

It was a really well organised day by Judith Townsend, Junior Coaching Lead, along with her huge team of volunteers.

Ground preparation, umpiring, scoring, bar, refreshments, barbecue and raffle all helped to make this a special day for so many young girls.  Well done everyone.

Jake Richards MP came along to lend his support which was much appreciated.

We had a great day at ACC where some of our key sponsors, invited guests, and players were treated to afternoon tea.

Thankyou to Janet, Maggie, Hilary and Ray for the afternoon teas, the guests and players thoroughly enjoyed them.

In the match break of the 2nd XI v Worksop CC, the president of the Bassetlaw league,  Robin Rhodes, officially opened our brand new scorers hut, with help from our 2nd XI captain Kalyan, 2nd XI scorer Kirsty, and Steph from our main sponsor, Source My Mortgage.

Thankyou to our volunteers who designed, procured and built the first ever ACC scorers hut and made it happen - Howard, Phil B, Gav, Alan and Phil H.

Many thanks also to Ashley for cleaning the clubhouse, Clare for running the raffle, all the bar staff, and everyone else who helped make the day a success.

At Team Ted we bring joy, and help create cherished memories, for children battling cancer when they need it most. We provide unwavering support and comfort, ensuring that every moment counts for both children and their families.

We provide grants to help families across England and Wales create special moments together. These grants can be used to reduce some of the financial pressures that come with caring for a child undergoing treatment, so families can focus on spending quality time together.

For children who wish to be at home, especially during their treatment or final days, we also offer grants for essential household items. Whether it’s making the home a more comfortable place with new furniture or easing the financial burden in other ways, we’re here to help in any way we can—just as we did for Ted.
