ACC UPCOMING EVENTS.

Charity Fundraising Day 13 September 2026 with the AV Memorial Match

The day started with lots of sunshine (and a little bit of drizzle)- the Ladies played each other at Super 8s with the Challenge Cup  being awarded to Howzat Anston captained by Rachel Marshall.

Next the younger children enjoyed some coaching and were awarded with a hot dog and ice lolly.

Finally the Old Boys  XI  v. Anston Select XI in the AV Memorial Match. The Select XI took the title this year with captain Kalyan Ampolu raising the trophy.

All games were played amongst laughter, and banter.

The Mayor of Rotherham  came and spent a couple of hours speaking people and enjoyed afternoon tea, and there were cakes, a tombola, a raffle, and games for the children. 

The sun shone all day, and created a good atmosphere. 

It was a fitting tribute to AV who gave 100% to the Club, as a playing member, groundsman and president to name a few of the positions he held.

I'd like to thank all volunteers who planned the event and made it run smoothly on the day.

A wonderful day in memory of a wonderful man.
